Oyster Roast

With the luxury of our very own backyard, coinciding with oyster season Chris has been dying to steam some of these slimy crustaceans.  So last Sunday my hunny got his wish.  



I'm not a huge fan of oysters, actually I hardly eat any seafood,* but Chris & David sure gobbled them all up.  Cocktail sauce, melted butter & garlic toast(we were out of crackers...oops!!) made their adventure complete.  While the boys were chowing down, I enjoyed a bowl of homemade beef stew by the fire pit.  It truly was a fantastic evening!  So our first oyster roast of the season was a success.  And I'm sure Chris will want to make this a regular occurrence, which is just fine with me, cause I'll have the night off from cooking!  

*Sad but true, practically a sin since I grew up on an island. But hey! at least I'll eat flounder & mahi mahi
