Running therapy

Running is something relatively new to me.  Only a few short months ago(after I signed up for my race) did I actually start my running journey.  I mean I'm a pretty athletic girl;  bike rides, dog walks, and hitting up the gym pretty regularly, no joke me & the elliptical are tight.  But there is something completely different about running, and I don't mean on a treadmill*.   Being outside, feeling the hard earth beneath you, cool air brushing your face, the sheer adrenaline that pulses through your veins, & the sense of accomplishment when you've pushed yourself farther than ever before.  Running, to me, is powerful.  This new hobby is something that I will continue to do for the rest of my life.  You've heard the saying "Running is cheaper than therapy" well I truly believe it.  Going for a run can alter my mood & outlook entirely.  The peaceful, calm but proud feeling I have after a run is truly one of the best in the world.

I very much believe running is a journey.  I have had good runs & disappointing ones, but my advice is to keep trying, and pushing yourself.  It is incredible to see how intricate God made these bodies and how far we can actually push them to go.   But if you think I'm over exaggerating{drama queen} or you don't believe me, then I challenge you, put on your running shoes and hit the pavement.  And tell me how you feel afterwards?

As you can tell I'm in the zone!   4 days until the race and my friends & I are pUmPeD!  Having a good group of friends to run with is also key!  Topics of conversation this week have included{but certainly not limited to} deciding what and where to eat the night before, race day attire, & when should our last training day be...

So.... check out my new digs!  And other loot from Runners ect. Top notch store btw, they watch you run & then tell you what kind of shoes best fit your feet!  Spectacular.
New Nike Air Pegasus', running socks, new bra{heavenly} & a lime green Saucony running shirt.  The race is on St. Paddy's day people, I've got to get my green on!  I'm ready to race!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday friends!
xo

*Please don't get me wrong, I run on the treadmill a lot.
But there is just something so completely different about running outside.
I'm not knocking the treadmill, she gives a good workout when its too cold or rainy to be outdoors.
