catch up

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Hey there, its been a wild one, week/weekend that is.  I feel like I am just coming up for air.  Trying to make time in the day for everything seems to be something I'm struggling with lately.  My running legs are getting in shape but my writing mind seems to have hit the pause button.  Thank you for being patient with me, I sure hope you hang around.

Brainstorming about new/exciting changes for this little space.  I firmly believe creativity comes from inspired ideas, and I am hoping to make this blog a little more creative, a little more inspired, a little more me.  It will all happen, eventually.

To play catch up, here are a few things that we have found time for....
Buying a boat. Say what!?! yes, we bought a boat.  A very surreal thought, but then again seeing it parked into our tiny driveway makes it pretty darn real... Watching a summertime sunset on the boat, has a nice ring to it don't you think?
Saturday afternoon beer festival's are a must, but spending them with great friends just makes them that much better.
Growin veggies.  Hoping my little garden does as well this year as she did last.  Had to chase a squirrel away the other morning, but I'm taking that as a good sign.  Tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapeno & cayenne peppers, we like it spicy around these parts.
work.  le sigh.  Would you hate me if I said these were my office essentials? iced coffee, pink toe nails and sandals by the pool, just to name a few.  Can you believe I get to play in the pool with fun kids all summer?! yeah, me either.
Love & concerts.  This guy, some days he makes me laugh, some days he makes me smile, and some days I want to ring his neck.  But I think that's all part of it.  Evening lawn concerts are the best when spent with friends and wine.  We saw a local indie/folk band that I am kinda digging right now, check em out.

Life, I'm realizing is all a balancing act; and I'm learning what is important to me here and now, in this moment, and loving every single second of it.  A wonderful summer season is upon us and I can't wait to celebrate.

  1. I love your outfit in photo numero dos! And I just got that BHG magazine in the mail the other day, it's a good one, I dog tagged almost every page. Speaking of which they do not sell BHG or Southern Living out here - what the heck is up with that?!

And because of course I noticed, holler at boat life! That's good living sista!
