tropical in so many ways || Mexico {part one}

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

a fun seven days in tropical rivera maya -- we celebrated, we relaxed, we drank champagne and ate delicious food.  A getaway with a little adventure and lots of fun -- we had our fill of beach lazing with fruity cocktails and indigence to suffice until next year -- maybe.

we stayed at the Valentin Imperial Maya and can't say enough wonderful things about this place.  the people, the service, the ambiance-- every single aspect of our stay here was lovely and perfect.  cliche' but true. we will come back to this resort if we vacation in Mexico again.

a few favorites

+waking up with the sun and sound of the waves
+boozy morning coffee with whip cream
+friendly and curious exotic creatures -- sans iguanas
+fresh sun and the smell of aloe
+chips and guacamole & the martini bar
+sharing nightly wine and conversations filled with laughter
+a tropical breeze blowing through Mexican hair
+his hand in mine as we walked to dinner, to breakfast, on the beach
+the feeling of exclusion from the rest of our world, daily lives, and responsibilities -- & embracing it fully

  1. So this is super random, but my husband and I stayed at El Dorado Casitas Royale for our honeymoon last November and want to go back to Mexico for our first anniversary/my birthday this year. Considering that you also stayed at El Dorado and now at the Valentin (which we were also considering), which would you recommend? Thank you so much!
