...for lists! christmas lists, grocery lists, gift lists, naughty and nice lists, packing lists, lists of your lists

...for red & green M&M's for dinner and tummy aches from too much Christmas toffee(its not called Christmas crack for nothing...)

...for Christmas light drives and oohhing and aaaahhing and judging all the same

...for holiday hangovers-- both the literally and figurative kind

...for ham and pumpkin pie and pomegranate arils in your champagne

...for magic in the air, I feel it so deeply sometimes it makes my chest heavy and eyes watery

...for rocking out to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's  Carol of the Bells and crooning to Elvis Presley's Blue Christmas

...for plumbing issues, car maintenance, and property taxes looming -- because life stops for nothing, also this is 30.

...for brown boxes and packages on your doorstep -- their sight makes me giddy every time, even when I know what fills them

...for traditions and extravagance and creating ceremony out of ordinary

...for watching the trifecta of christmas movie romantic comedies -- Love, Actually -- The Holiday -- The Family Stone and loving every cheesy, heart wrenching scene without abandon

...for sparkling and reds and whites, wine! of course -- making spirits bright!!

...for beautiful rolls of wrapping paper, losing the tape & scissors! and purposely not buying the wrapping paper with glitter

...for holiday scented hand soaps {lemon merging & Christmas morning!} and candles lighting up every little corner {north pole, Christmas thyme, and mistletoe} --a few favorites around this house

...for Christmas music filling every quite moment with joy and jingle bells -- getting our fill until next year

...for poinsettia's in every room and forgetting to water the Christmas tree

...for countless trips to Target, enough so to want a very long hiatus from that wonderfully addictive place

...for waking early or staying up light, to sit just a little longer by the lights of the Christmas tree

...for self induced stress and anxiety that goes with deep inherited desires to make things perfect

...for nurturing relationships & cozying together with family and friends and loved ones so dear; cherishing time together now, making memories to last our lifetimes

...for velvet and plaid, sequins and metallics, and shiny crystals too! all in one outfit and totally acceptable for this time of the year!

...for one year over (again, in a blink) and a new one to greet -- promises and hope and excitement for a fresh new year to begin

...for celebrating our King and redeemer! his birth and the hope and peace from it, the greatest gift we could ever receive -- a thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices! -- Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:13-14

wishing you and yours the happiest Christmas of all,
one more sleep!!
merry merry!
